Again Being Her...

I Blinked Open To His Disgruntled Face,
My Dad, & To The Planet, I Was Ill-Favored
The Dowry Lines  On His Temple Deepened,
As I Grew An Year Old, & Sustained To Grow.
Orthodox Classes Of Time Management Were
Taught, When Elder Bro Was Licking Lollipops,
Divine Household Duties & Education Secondary.
Grave Childhood Was Indeed A Narrow Escape
Through Mom’s Superstitions & Societal Traditions.
My Puberty Spots Reminded Me To Pose Matured,
But Development Of My Privates Tempted Their Inners.
The Lusty Eyes On The Road & Yesterday’s Newspapers
Made Me Scan Even The Touches Of My Dad & Brother
My Liking For That Classmate Was Still In A Budding Stage,
& Soon I Lay Bare Beside That Unknown Aged Rustic Man,
Over Years My Vomiting Only Had One Meaning  For Them,
& There I Gave Birth Again To Her, Pedalling My Own Cycle...

Through WoMen...

On Women & Women's Movements

Gone are the Indian culturally ideological days of “Pati Parmeshwars” and equally probable philosophy of “Sati Savitris”. It is rather ironically true that the developing nation has built its strong foundation on the atrocities of women folk, but the evolution has always been misleading. The society was generous enough to accept the equality stance, in each and every womanly aspect, yet education has played a great deal in the uplift, but was the outcome worthy enough, is yet to be pored over. Here a jobless woman, though being educated, confines herself to a two lettered word “House Wife”, which can be further derogatory when it tends towards an abbreviation of SAHM. The educated folk have a tendency to believe the condition has occurred due to a patriarchal anarchy.

I Am Neither A Feminist Nor A Male Chauvinist...

On gender agitation and societal imbalance.

What is wrong in saying that I live in a society, full of gender agitation.  It’s rather a tongue in cheek that the nation, Mother India, though named matriarchal, the administration and the ministry is patriarchal, and overall the law and order is biased on a matriarchal level. Thus we don’t follow a steady path, but a zigzag path superficially believed to be a straight one. Here in one of the most Woman Unsafe nations, the respective gender can be that powerful that they can allegedly bring the opposite gender before the jury box. There are ample exemplars to substantiate that anybody from the men folk can be beaten up by the mob or can be dragged so called legally, based on some petty grounds or false assertions (not always) imposed on them by the women folk. The reasons can extend from mere prejudices to utter revenge.
